The El-Woods project embodies the philosophy of architectural grafting, characterized by an intensive dialogue between new and pre-existing features, both physical and conceptual. This approach facilitates the seamless integration of contemporary additions into the historical context of the site. Similar to how cuttings can be grafted onto a tree, this methodology allows for a project that skillfully integrates the new with the existing, creating a synthesis that respects the existing heritage home features while embracing contemporary aesthetics.
